This is a contract Kashan red vintage Persian rug from one of the great masters Ghotbi company Floral Design ~ 1970 that it is Original. Actually, it takes up to a year to create a single average-size fine-spun Persian carpet like this. The pattern of this authentic Kashan carpet has a medallion at the center that is surrounded by a lot of Persian flowers and leaves motifs. Moreover, there are three different color braids at each corner of the carpet which makes it look as if it has been inlaid. Also, the warp and weft of this carpet have been knotted tightly to each other, which makes it a strong carpet with a fine weave. The production and weaving period of this company was about thirty years from 1960 till 1990. Over 30 years ago, in the ancient city of Kashan in the center of Persia, the women and girl Persian carpet weavers have knotted this pretty and elegant red carpet by their hands. Meanwhile, this design has always been welcomed in the world carpet markets but as I said before, the Original one. For example, at present about seventeen colors are used in Kashan carpet but previously Kashan carpets mostly were painted with about 35 dyes.
